Enrollment
Children must be 3-5 years old, completely potty trained and officially enrolled before they can be allowed to participate.
How to Enroll
Fill out an application. Applications are located on our website, or you may visit University City High School and fill out an application in person. Please note that submitting an application does not mean your child is enrolled. Applicants will be added to our waitlist.
If your application has been accepted, you will receive a phone call and/or email from our staff. Parents will then have one week to respond. Parents who do not respond within one week will be removed from the waitlist.
After confirming intent to enroll, our staff will mail out an enrollment packet. This document contains important information about our program. It also contains documents needed in order for your child to begin attending. Once these documents are submitted and approved by our staff, your child will be officially enrolled in our program.
FAQ
How many children are invited to participate each year?
Our class consists of 12 children each year. The number of children invited to participate each year depends on the number of children continuing with our program from the year prior. Families already enrolled are given an opportunity to remain in the program the following year.
Can my child attend for just a few days each week?
Due to the high number of applicants on our waitlist, parents must commit to their children attending full time (Tues - Fri from 9 am-12:30 pm). Families who consistently do not meet the requirement may be dropped from enrollment.
It’s already July, why haven’t I been contacted yet about my application?
Our program does not operate when the UC campus is closed. Therefore, we are closed during the summer. Our staff returns in late August and will contact parents at that time. Our preschool program typically does not begin until the beginning of October.
What is the cost of tuition?
Since we operate under a public school, we do not charge tuition. We do, however, ask for a monthly donation. Donations are greatly appreciated. Our facility operates on these donations. We could not provide snacks, quality materials, and field trip opportunities without these contributions.
